The Baby Place invites you into a one-of-a-kind creative experience designed for babies and their caregivers. A space where performance, discovery, art, and imagination unfold through the eyes of your child.
Led by highly skilled performers with over seven years of experience working with and for young audiences, each session is a living, breathing experience. There is no set script. Facilitators respond in real time to each baby’s unique energy, choices, and curiosity, building an improvised journey together that honours your baby as the expert.
This is an invitation. A chance to slow down, listen, and create alongside your baby as they explore the world with fresh eyes and boundless wonder.
The Baby Place is inspired by Playground, a National Portfolio Organisation with Arts Council England based in Kent whose ambition is to empower young children and their families through engaging, transformative and high-quality creative activities.
What happens in a session:
Babies move, feel, sense, and explore. This workshop places the baby at the center, allowing their curiosity to shape the moment. The performer follows, reflects, and gently amplifies their discoveries, co-creating an immersive experience that is never repeated the same way twice.
Every session is fluid, grounded in improvisation and mutual attention. What emerges is a deeply responsive, often magical creative moment between baby, caregiver, and performer.
