Looking for baby classes in Southeast London that offer something a little different? The Baby Place is a creative, performance-led experience for babies aged 0 to 15 months and their grown-ups. Sessions blend movement, music, sensory play and theatre in a calm and connected environment.

Each 1 hour class is led by experienced performers and early years specialists. There’s no script or fixed routine. Instead, facilitators follow your baby’s cues and curiosity, co-creating an improvised journey that honours their unique voice and way of exploring the world.

The Baby Place is more than just a class. It’s a chance to slow down, connect with your little one and experience the magic of imaginative play together.

Our sessions are inspired by Playground, a National Portfolio Organisation funded by Arts Council England. After working extensively in Kent libraries and communities, we’re now bringing these playful and thoughtful baby sessions to families across Southeast London.

What happens in a session:

Our 1 hour baby classes are designed for little ones aged 0 to 15 months and their grown-ups. Each session is a calm, creative space where babies are free to move, explore, and lead the way. There’s no fixed script. Instead, our experienced facilitators respond in real time to your baby’s unique interests and curiosity.

As your baby discovers and plays, the performer follows their lead, gently echoing and expanding their ideas. Together, we co-create a magical, sensory-rich experience that’s never the same twice.

These sessions are built on connection, improvisation, and shared attention. They support early communication, build confidence, and offer a beautiful moment of creativity and bonding for both baby and caregiver.
